bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, egg white, red wine

A 19th-century New York City invention (originally called 'Continental Sour'). The wine float creates a beautiful layered effect and adds tart complexity.

Dry shake (if egg white), then shake hard with ice. Strain into a rocks glass over ice. Float red wine slowly over the back of a spoon. Garnish with lemon twist.
